About me
I provide strategic and creative services that help organisations engage with their audiences, create meaningful impact and deliver measurable results.
I find that labels often restrict the skills and experience that people have and the truth is, I've done a lot of things in my career, making it difficult to sum up in a simple job title.
I’ve worked in the creative services sector for most of my life, in advertising agencies, content marketing agencies, design studios and as a freelancer. My work as a graphic designer has covered all sorts of brand, marketing and communications collateral for organisations of all shapes and sizes. From energetic startups to established global brands, across private, public and third sectors, at home in the UK and around the world. It has also taken me into UX and UI design, product design, service design, strategy and ultimately into leadership, working with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders, helping to deliver projects of varying complexity to diverse audiences.
There is and always has been a common thread running through what I do. My approach is holistic, human-centred and commercially focused. I take time to listen and learn in order to fully understand and balance the needs of the business, the customer and the user – striving to keep things as clear and simple as possible. I’ve found this to be the best way to add value and deliver against any goals or objectives.

Project management
I am an experienced and reflective team leader with a very broad set of skills and experience, having worked ‘hands on’ in the creative services sector for several years as well as leading multi-disciplinary teams of researchers, designers, content creators, project managers and developers. I’m used to working in fast-paced, responsive environments and thinking on my feet in order to get things done. I’ve used several project management tools and have a good working knowledge of WordPress, Drupal, Google products and GDPR compliance.
Email marketing
Email marketing provides one of the best ways of talking directly to your customers and target audience. It helps you build a community around your brand which contributes to long-term growth. Done right, i.e. well designed and with a strategy, it can deliver fantastic returns on investment, averaging approximately £30 for every £1 spent. I have lots of experience creating and delivering campaigns that consistently deliver great engagement. I’ll work with you to make sure your mailing lists are effective and compliant and your campaigns are aligned with your goals and reach the right people.
Marketing communications
I’ve worked with organisations of all shapes and sizes, delivering effective marketing and communication material to help them develop their brands, tell their stories and sell their products and services. I take great care in learning about their businesses and customers in order to deliver the right strategies to achieve their goals and reach the right audiences. Using my design and communication experience and my network of specialists, I’m confident I can help your teams solve complex problems by carefully matching user and business needs.

Let me take some of the strain – I’m used to working with senior leadership and business development teams on product, service and operational matters and have delivered many profitable projects against ’seemingly impossible’ deadlines.
My fee structure is simple and transparent and I’ll always provide an honest estimate before any work commences. I’m happy working on projects of any length but many clients find a monthly retainer works best – this can be inside or outside IR35, we can discuss your preferences at the outset.
By setting clear goals and objectives at the start of any project, we’ll have a clear idea of any pain points and what is required to overcome them. We’ll take stock of any relevant metrics at the start of the project so we know where we can add value and test how we’re measuring against them at the end.
